Allyson Ponsford, MA, OTR/L

Allyson has been practicing occupational therapy since 2011 when she earned her Masters in Occupational Therapy from the University of Southern California. She studied at the University of Redlands to earn her Bachelors in Psychology. She has both clinical and school-based occupational therapy experience with children ranging from preschool to high school. When in the clinic she focused her attention on sensory integration, developmental intervention and caregiver training. She is able to transfer much of that knowledge to the school-based model to focus on how to best serve students in their primary occupational environment as well as offer strategies to the IEP team to optimize student progress. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and exploring the many outdoor activities in San Diego.

Kara Trudgeon, M.A., M.A.Ed., Ed. Spec., PPS, LEP #4319

Kara has been working as a psychologist in a variety of settings since 2004. She has her Masters in both Clinical and School Psychology and is a Licensed Educational Psychologist, as well as Credentialed Education Specialist. While working in both clinical and school based settings as a teacher, psychologist, and Special Education Administrator, Kara has developed a unique set of skills that is invaluable to the teams with whom she works. Her extensive training and experience in Special Education can benefit not only the IEP teams, but the families and communities she serves. Providing high quality mental health and psychoeducational services is a passion of Kara’s, with a concentrated focus on creating a successful educational experience for each child. Along with her passion for education, Kara believes deeply in the power of nature. She enjoys spending time hiking, paddle boarding, and camping with her family.
